KKB Paragliding Park has been the location for the organisation of national and international paragliding sports tournaments such as KKB Open 2015 (March 2015) and Paragliding Accuracy World Championship (PGAWC) Series 2/2015. PGAWC has recorded the participation of 100 participants from 14 countries including Bulgaria, China, Iceland, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Taiwan and Thailand.

White Water Rafting

The steepness is classified between levels 4-6. Located 5.2km from the town of Kuala Kubu Bharu, Taman Tasik Milenium is usually visited by the local residents on weekends. The main attraction here is the lake and also the amenities to recreate and relac. This is another recommended spot for you to chill and relax with your family during this weekends. The park is equipped with a jogging trail and also a playground for children.

Bukit Kutu

Bukit Kutu is an attractive location for hiking enthusiasts, trail runners and those who want to tame hiking. Several junctions in the forest leading to the top can take you far from the city. It is nearby Kuala Lumpur so it is easy for travellers to get there, but you should go up with someone who knows the ins and outs. Bukit Kutu is a 10 kilometre moderately trunked trail that features a waterfall and is considered difficult.

Bukit Batu Pahat

Bukit Batu Pahat’s flat peak makes it the perfect spot for paragliders. But it’s a different story for hikers. Though one cannot deny the scenic view when you reach the peak, the way up isn’t for the faint of heart. This is because the trail is steep and a bit muddy.

Hulu Selangor International Event King Of Mountain (KOM)

The Kayuhan Raja Bukit Hulu Selangor is an annual cycling event hosted by the Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS). The distance of cycling is 40km. Initially, there were two routes: Kuala Kubu Bharu - Genting Highlands and Kuala Kubu Bharu - Fraser’s Hill. The locations were alternated, but in recent times they only use the Kuala Kubu Bharu - Fraser’s Hill track. In 2006, a whopping 1,700 participants took part in the event. The biggest group was Team Sapura Cycling.

The categories are as follows:

Hulu Selangor Ultra Trail (HSUT)

HULU SELANGOR ULTRA TRAIL (HSUT) is a marathon, organised by the Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS). Hulu Selangor is one of the most popular natural destinations and is located in the northeastern part of Selangor. The trail will cross the Bukit Batu Pahat, Gerachi Jaya, Semangkok Pass, Kampung Pertak, Bukit Kutu peaks, Bukit Kutu Ruins, Kampung Buluh Telor, Ampang Pechah and Lata Medang, which are part of the country's emblematic heritage site and have seen one of the most impressive waterfalls in Selangor. Challenging race routes are planned for all participants, both new and experienced. Participants may choose the appropriate category according to their fitness level. Those who obtain a certain amount of points will be eligible to compete in the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) hosted in France. It is the world's premier mountain ultramarathon.

Wings Of KKB : Selangor International Bird Fair

The wings of KKB is an annual bird-watching event hosted jointly by the Hulu Selangor District Council and Hulu Selangor Recreation and Tourism Club. The event is usually held at two locations; the Selangor Heritage Park and KKB town.


Gunung Gap & Ulu Semangkok Trailhead

Gunung Gap & Ulu Semangkok Trailhead is permanent forest reserves area and to hike here you’d need a permit from the Forestry Department. The peak of Gunung Gap is 1,183m above sea level, the hike itself will take around an hour to complete. As for Gunung Ulu Semangkok will take another two hours or so to reach the top but the journey itself is really rewarding and worth it.

Pine Tree Hill

It is the longest hike in Fraser Hill and also the most challenging of them all. The peak is The Trail's highest point is 1505m above sea level. Although this is only 300 metres higher than the starting altitude of around 1200m, the path undulates considerably and the actual height climbed is probably closer to 1500m. The trail is 5.5km long and most people take 7 to 8 hours to trek to the summit and back again.

Cherandong waterfall trailhead

At the end of Cherandong there is a dam minimizing the water flow of the waterfall, this dam was once broken in 1883 but was rebuilt during 1931. Even so the water pressure and currents from this area is really heavy and strong and is not really recommended to swim here if you are unexperienced. But the hike here is definitely worth it, with the cool air and flora around keeping the air fresh, the entrance fee is RM 2.

Sungai Chiling

The scenic Sungai Chiling is situated within the Sungai Chiling Fish Sanctuary, a fisheries research project run by the Department of Fisheries of Selangor State. Chiling Waterfall is one of Selangor's most beautiful and impressive waterfalls. Visitors will need to walk and wade across the Chiling River five times to get there for about an hour, so be prepared to have a sense of adventure and not mind getting wet. It is well worth the effort when you ultimately reach the waterfall (actually three falls). The entrance is on the path to The Gap/Hill Fraser's from Kuala Kubu Baharu. You will cross a small steel bridge over the Chiling River shortly after passing the Selangor Dam and reservoir. Just after the bridge, there is a parking area and on the right side of the road is the entrance. Sungai Chilling is also known as Gorilla Falls.

Lata Medang

Lata Medang is a waterfall at Kampung Pertak in a secluded area of upland rainforest off Kuala Kubu Bharu, cascading down from a tremendous 60-metre plunge in two phases. The initial track to Bukit Kutu provides access. Lata Medang is a challenging 10-kilometer out-and-back trek with magnificent scenery. The trail is mostly utilised for hiking, cycling, camping, and backpacking.

Serendah Waterfall

Serendah Waterfall, also known as Templer Kai or Recreational Waterfall Serendah, is located 3 kilometres from Perkampungan Orang Asli Serendah, an indigenous village. While the waterfall appears little and shallow here, it provides deliciously cool, flowing water that splashes everyone who sits near it. The famous Seven Wells, or Perigi Tujuh, is located just before the waterfall, attracting even more people because it has its own distinct story.

Perigi Tujuh (Seven Wells) is a little-known attraction in Malaysia. It is a modest dam with seven wells fed by water flowing via seven sinkholes or spillways. These spillways act as plug holes, allowing floodwaters from Serendah town to be controlled. This permits the water that has accumulated in the upstream lake to drain softly (or not so gently during a downpour).

Sungai Inki is only 11 kilometres from Tanjung Malim. The park is conveniently accessible through Route 1. This place is ideal for getting some fresh air, relaxing, and having a picnic on weekends. Pertak River(Sungai Pertak)

Sungai Pertak is a location untouched by the city life, it is a perfect place for picnics, bathing and camping with nature. Waterfalls, streams and flowing rivers will enhance a camping atmosphere. At here you can even have a BBQ and relax while enjoying the beauty of nature. The entrance fee here is RM 1, you pay it as you pass by the Orang Asli Control Booth.

Sungai Sendat Waterfall

Sendat Waterfalls is a waterfall site near the town of Ulu Yam. There are a few levels of waterfall along with a slide where you can try to experience the thrill of sliding down from a stream. The waterfall itself is not steep and is safe and shallow enough for children to swim in definitely an ideal place for families to head over to experience themselves.

Sg Luit Falls (Lata Makau)

The first part of the trail to the Sg Luit falls is the same as to Bukit Kutu and Lata Medang. You start from Kg Pertak and cross the Sg Luit on a ramshackle bridge. A few hundred meter after this crossing there is a fork, where you keep left. The right trail leads to Bukit Kutu. Not far after this fork you can hear a waterfall.

This hot spring near Taman Arif was discovered just over a decade ago. Locals did not spread the word too broadly so that they could experience the location for themselves. As a result, the district council has constructed two gazebos to provide shade.

This natural hot spring is seven kilometres away from Batang Kali. The district council has restored the facilities here by constructing concrete shelters and gazebos and encircling the spring pool with concrete walls. The pool is divided into two sections, one with natural hot spring water for swimming and paddling and the other with colder water. The gardens have been landscaped and the scenery is bright and tidy.

Kerling Hot Spring is located around 10 kilometres from Kuala Kubu Bharu, in the village of Kerling. The hot spring area has gradually been renovated and is currently used as a shallow square swimming pool. A bridge was constructed to transport guests across the river to the rest area and hot spring pool. On weekends, this location is very popular. There are amenities such as free parking, a gazebo, and a BBQ area. There's also a river that's great for kids and families.

The Genting Strawberry Leisure Farms can be reached within a six-minute drive from the Genting Premium Outlets and the Awana Skyway cable car station. The farm is open daily. One of its most picturesque features is the strawberry and lavender garden, which features special fountains surrounded by flowering lavender flowers. A variety of kiosks can be found throughout the farm, selling honey, cactus, clothes, soft toys and souvenirs, while visitors who feel a little bit peckish can enjoy simple dishes at the strawberry-themed restaurant on site. The farm also offers a range of vegetables, flowers and mushrooms that are exported to different regions across the world. It is recognised as the largest strawberry farm in Malaysia, organic products are available for purchase here. You can also pick your strawberries directly from the orchards.

Waltex Biotec Sdn Bhd was established in 2006, and the stunning Phalaenopsis orchids were grown on a 6-acre agricultural property in Ulu Yam. When you enter this orchid farm, you will be astounded by the variety of orchids on display. The Phalaenopsis orchid, often known as the ‘moth orchid’, can thrive with minimal care and water. The farm is open to the public at no cost. That's it if you're seeking a low-maintenance plant that gives a dash of colour to your home.
